Taylor Swift may be the most unusual of pop stars. She was an artist capable of successfully cross the divide between country and pop while sweeping the globe. Swift has shed her country roots as if they were second skins revealing herself to be one of the best pop singers and songwriters in her generation. Speak Now delivered almost two years later consolidated that popularity and pushed Swift into the stratosphere of fame. With the three albums following -- Red 2012 1989 2014, and Reputation 2017 -- Swift's success only grew. It was a clear indicator that Swift had entered an entirely new world of pop where she fit in. In the end, when she refocused her music by releasing stripped-down albums like 2020, folklore and Evermore, she still remained on top. This position was maintained by re-recordings from her past catalogue as along with Midnights the synth-based chart-topper 2022 album.
