Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist, is also an author. She founded The Huffington Post and the CEO of Thrive Global. Author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is a writer, television personality, philanthropist as well as the owner and editor of The Huffington Post. She was born in Greece then moved to England at the age of sixteen. At Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA in economics. As the first foreign student to serve as president of the highly regarded debate club The Cambridge Union, at 21 years old she took on the role. Being a conservative syndicated blog when she graduated, she became an influential voice for the Huffington Post. In part, her fame led to the recruitment of a variety of renowned contributors. Arianna's fame started in 2003, after she was a candidate for an independent for the California recall vote to replace Governor Davis. Alongside that, she was also the leader of the Detroit campaign to encourage fuel-efficient cars. Forbes listed her as one of the "most powerful woman" in the media industry and ranked her 12th. Guardian placed her on their list of 100 top media personalities in 2009. In the year 2011, AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post and made the president of that media group which included many existing AOL properties, including Engadget AOL music Style list and Patch Media. Elli is the child of Konstantinos who was a Journalism and management expert. Although she had a close connection to both her father and mother but it was their connection that helped shape her. Through her early period, she displayed leadership skills for which she is still well-known. Her move to England came at 16 to continue her education and then enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. She was a member of Cambridge Union, the Cambridge Union college debate society while in college in which she became the third and first female to be elected the president. In 1972, her Master's in Economics was conferred. Following her graduation, she was employed as a critic for a newspaper column and an anchor on TV. Also, she appeared on the series Face the music along with Bernard Levin and began writing books, utilizing editorial guidance from him.
